Meet Your Community Ambassador: Julia Shannon
February 14th, 2018
Shearwater is one of the fastest growing communities in St. Johns County, with diverse residents who already call Shearwater home and new families moving in every day. Shearwater’s Community Ambassador, Julia Shannon, is on hand to help residents feel completely welcome in their new home, learning about their hobbies and interests and ensuring they are familiar with everything Shearwater has to offer.
“We are thrilled to welcome Julia to Shearwater to help build connections between our residents and their community, as well as inform prospective residents about all the exciting things happening at Shearwater,” said Jill Flores, Shearwater’s Community Director. “Julia’s 25 years of experience in the customer service and sales industries, as well as her friendly personality and positive energy, make her a perfect fit for this role.”
Julia moved from New York to St. Augustine three years ago to be closer to family. Always a people person, Julia spends her free time giving back to the community by volunteering with the humane society and assisting in ongoing hurricane recovery efforts. She also loves spending time with her family and can’t get enough of her adorable grandchildren.
As the Community Ambassador for Shearwater, Julia helps residents and prospects alike feel welcome and comfortable in the community. Working closely with Shearwater’s Lifestyle Director, Julia helps with events and activities that residents love to take part in. She’s also our residents’ first point of contact at the Kayak Club, ensuring that their needs are met and helping to resolve any issues that may arise. Prospective buyers are invited to stop by the Kayak Club with any questions they may have, chat with Julia and take a tour of Shearwater’s amenities.
“Shearwater is truly a spectacular community with all of the amenities, events and healthy living opportunities that make it such a great place to live,” Julia said. “I am so proud to represent this community and look forward to continuing to develop relationships with residents and realtors, as well as share my excitement for Shearwater with prospective buyers.”
