Shearwater’s Dog Park
March 7th, 2019
Shearwater was designed from the ground up to meet the needs of every resident – including our four-legged friends. One of Shearwater’s newest amenities, an off-leash dog park, benefits not only our furry residents, but the entire community.
Shearwater’s dog park is a spacious, fenced-in area where your pups can run free and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. Socialization is an important factor when raising any animal, and the dog park is the perfect place for your fur baby to sharpen their social skills. Not only that, but it encourages neighbors with shared interests to get to know one another and help build a sense of community. In fact, this kind of shared space is one of the most popular Shearwater amenities, promoting both physical activity and neighborly connection.Kids will love playing fetch and chasing their dog around, all while making new friends.
One of the most unique features of Shearwater’s dog park is the built-in agility course. Pups will have a blast chasing each other up and down ramps and through tunnels, or you can take the opportunity to teach them new tricks. The agility course is a unique, enriching way for your pup to get in some exercise and use their problem solving skills. It also helps teach your dog obedience, which strengthens your bond – giving them a much more fulfilling, healthy life. This kind of intentional design reflects the overall spirit of life in St. Augustine, where outdoor living and wellness go hand in hand.
A dog park isn’t the only unique thing about Shearwater. From the three-story water slide and lazy river, to miles of trails and year-round community programming, life is never boring at Shearwater. These features are just a few reasons families exploring homes for sale in St. Johns County, FL are choosing Shearwater as their next address—where both people and pets feel right at home.
