Shearwater has developed a sense of solidarity and undeniable spirit in response to the crisis. Some of the ways in which the community has united include:

Shearwater Together – A virtual program that pairs “givers” and “receivers” in order to show gratitude and support to those who are working on the front lines and/or neighbors who may be in need of extra assistance

3D Printing – Young resident Ethan Goldman is helping provide aid to essential workers by 3D printing face mask straps

Front Porch Happy Hours – Residents enjoy time on their front porches every Tuesday and Thursday between 5-6 p.m. with their favorite beverages in-hand to cheers with neighbors at a distance

Wellbeats At-Home Workouts – In lieu of the Fitness Lodge amenities, Shearwater and Wellbeats offer residents special access to at-home, virtual workout classes

Displays of Pride – Residents give thanks and show their pride for those working on the front lines by decorating their front doors

Virtual Contests and Programming – From Fun Run fundraisers to lip sync battles to bingo and more, residents are engaging in a variety of virtual experiences and entertainment as they comply with social distancing precautions
